Do Something Different in Cape Town
Kayak the warm waters of False Bay with us.

We paddle every day of the year, weather permitting - not just the summer. The winter months are also wonderful for paddling because winter has more calm windless days than summer and on those days it is absolutely beautiful. Plus there is always a chance of seeing whales.

"In one word: FUN!! Spend the morning on the high seas with the penguins and seals, you won't even realise it's exercise until it's over. Highly recommended."

"Fab, fab, fab!
The Boulder's Beach trip was great. Close-ups with whales, encounters with penguins, exciting conditions and great and humourous leadership, this was a trip we will remember for a long time."

"Very wonderful time. Saw penguins swimming by the boat and also really enjoyed the snorkeling by the beach"
Otto, Amsterdam

"Sea kayaking was a fantastic experience. It was physically challenging but we had an excellent guide who gave me excellent tips on how I can kayak more efficiently. Even when I fell a bit behind I was never discouraged because Derek never went far from my side and encouraged me when I got tired. Excellent scenery from the kayaks and it was fantastic to get another view of the penguins from the kayaks. The short break on the beach was also very peaceful, while we relaxed our muscles we were able to sit on the rocks and listen to the ocean crashing. Thanks so much for a fantastic trip!"

"The morning sea kayak adventure was the highlight of my time around Cape Town! We saw penguins, seals and even a whale!! Our guide was fun, the group was small and the views from the kayak spectacular. It felt like a much more real and personal encounter with animals and a relaxed view of the breathtaking scenery. Thank you for a wonderful morning!."
Emma, Sydney

"Die oggend "uitstappie" op die kayak in valsbaai was definitief die hoogtepunt van my vakansie. Ek sal dit vir almal aanbeveel! Baie gesien- walvis baie naby. Fenominaal! (The morning's trip on the kayak was definitely the highlight of my holiday. I will recommend it to everyone. Saw loads - whales very close. Phenomenal!)."
Renee Meyer, Natal

"The outing was part of my wife Linda's 60th birthday present and it was worth every cent. We both enjoyed every minute, and for Linda it was an ambition that exceeded her every expectation. It was just cloudy enough to add character to the light, Derek was a great guide, and apart from a mild swell, it was great paddling weather. Quite an experience gliding through the kelp fields, being able to see the stems of the kelp swaying up from the sand clearly visible below one; watching the many starfish scuttling about. And also a very different experience loitering near the bullnose, watching a submarine lining up to enter, with the big tug standing by and the harbour walls looming up nearby, while seals sported beneath them. It was a real pleasure not to be hustled along, navigating our way leisurely through the rocks of Boulders, getting the feel of the craft, and just soaking up the experience. As neither Linda nor myself have felt any of the expected stiffness, I guess it won't be long before we have another go.."
Malcolm Esterhuizen, Fish Hoek

"Bai an kayaking go han-mhaith ar fad. Go hiortach e!."
Padraig & Evet Arnoid, Youghal, Co Cork Ireland

"Dankie baie, dit was heerlik. Sal dit weer doen. (Thank you, it was wonderful. Shall do it again.)."
William & Michelle Liebisch, Uvongo, KZN

"Thank you very much for the trip of a lifetime! We really enjoyed paddling up close to the penguin colony. However, the highlight of the trip by far was watching a whale resurfacing on several occasions only 50m from our kayak! A highly recommended experience. Many thanks.."
Harry Doherty, Ireland

"We spent a wonderful Cape Town winter morning on the Penguin Sea Kayak Trip. It was definitely a highlight of our Cape Town experience - gorgeous scenery, a friendly guide, and tons of penguins! Highly recommended!."
Liz Heyman, USA
