Full Moon Kayak Trip

The best place to watch the full moon rise in Cape Town is from the water. On our Full Moon Kayak Trip you sit on a stable sea kayak in False Bay and watch the moon come up over the water, away from crowds and traffic. It’s one of the most memorable things to do in Cape Town.

How it works

We start at Simon’s Town Wharf and paddle out towards Ark’s Rock. We stop there to watch the full moon rise over False Bay, then paddle back to where we started.

Full moon trips depend heavily on the conditions, so we only run them when the wind, weather, tide and moonrise all line up. Message us ahead of time and we’ll add you to our full moon list. When the conditions are right, we’ll let you know and confirm your spot.
